I just switched out my front end from my 30 town sedan with that of a 30 coupe. the front end fit perfictly on the coupe but the brake lines for the town sedan were 3/4 of an inch too short. should I just ajust the brake lines or is there something else I should do?

Dan,
With what you've given here...I'd start with adjusting! If that isn't satisfactory, pull the front drums and check it out.

I pulled the whole front ends I didn't do anything with the drums or hubs. Shouldn't they line up? Why did the coupe fit and not the town sedan?

did you pull the brake adjusting arm back with your hand to take up the slack in the brake arm?

Yes, I did pull them back as far as they would go. I even tried to force them back. They are as far back as they can go.

did you take all the slack out of the rear brake rods to the brake cross shaft?

Are the levers at the same angle on both axles?

What I didn't do was step on the brakes to bring the rods foward. Maybe I'll try that.

Well that didn.t work. I adjusted the rods and they seem just right now. They are tight, and it stops good. Just think that it was strange that I'd be off by that much.
