Marvel Carburetor ID ?
I've searched the Ford Barn, and looked at other web sites to try to find what the ID code is for the Model A Schebler Marvel carburetor. I have recently come across one for sale, looks similar to the Zenith, but I'm not sure if its correct for the Model A. What is the correct code?
Thanks, Stew

Re: Marvel Carburetor ID ?
Stew a simple google search for Marvel carbs will return over a million entries. No Marvel carb ever looked like a cast iron Zenith. Post a pic and show us what you have.

Re: Marvel Carburetor ID ?
I know there are a couple of Zenith look alikes, the most common is the Tillotson.

Re: Marvel Carburetor ID ?
The Marvel Schebler carb has a rectangular float bowl with rather sharp corners, and the bowl is bigger than a Tilli or Zenith. Western Auto sold them, and they are a good carb.

Re: Marvel Carburetor ID ?
The one I saw is in a second hand shop, it's clean and complete. Will get a picture next time I stop in there.
Thanks for the replies. Stew

Re: Marvel Carburetor ID is the model F1B
F1B is noted on top of the fuel bowl. This carb was Tillotson's attempt to look a bit like the Zenith round-bowl so folks would not notice it was not a Zenit.
