Re: Snow and my model a
Here is my car in Grants Pass Oregon. Had 4+ inches of snow here Friday. I just had to take Hoover out and see how he handled. I must say we had fun.

Re: Snow and my model a
Here in Minnesota I wouldn't think of actually taking my A out on the main roads in the winter. They start speading the salt BEFORE it snows. Every car ends up all rusted out unless its never driven in the winter here.

Re: Snow and my model a
So true, and I try to even drive my modern car only on the days when the roads are dry. It will extend the car's life some, but salt sure is a killer of cars.

Re: Snow and my model a
My father in law told me that when he had his Model A in the '30s he would wrap rope thru the spokes and around the tires for traction in the snow!

Re: Snow and my model a
Beautiful photos of snow bound Model A. Reminds me of my first Model A, a 1930 coupe back in 1963.....I found a set of truck chains that fit it well and used to drive up to the local mountains when it snowed just so that I could drive in it. With the tall tires and chains it did really well in snow. Thanks to all for posting some really nice pics!

Re: Snow and my model a
What a great idea! I would be afraid to put chains on but the rope would work great! (for a while)
