Default Grease fittings. Replacing originals

My 'hodgepodge' 29 standard coupe has both the original Model a grease fittings and the 'zerk' style. I got it this way.

I bought the snyders kit to finish the job and replace them all but have a question.

The front and rear spring shackles. The fittings appear to be press fit and the replacement are threaded.

Suggestions for replacing them? Do I need to tap the shackles?

P.S. this isn't a points car. Never will be. I'm just trying to finish it and drive and have fun with it and this is another project to get it on the road..

Thanks.

Probably not threaded, just looks like it. Grooves hold it in place. Press fit. At least mine were.

Are the shackles original or aftermarket? Replacements could have anything installed.
