a previous post about front radius rods mentioned the merc was 4"longer than the ford.I understood that the 4" was from the firewall forward,but the emergency brake cables I bought (front and rear),ended up being 4"short of being connected together and had nothing to do with anything forward of firewall.I fabricated an extension to connect them.

The Merc is 4" longer from the firewall forward. The Merc uses the stock Ford body. Maybe the e brake cable is wrong?

not sure,merc cables were ordered,maybe wrong parts pulled.I cant measure lengths now that they are installed.
