Sorry Vince a 68- part# is NOT a 33 W/P. 32-33 pump would have a 18- part #. Pic is of a 36 pump I believe. ken ct.

Ken is correct that vince's pump is a '35-'36, but '33 and '34 pumps have a "40-" part number.

Oh well I was 1/2 right.LOL thanks Randy. ken ct. I think 32-34 pumps had a taller neck on them. Very hard to find and pricey.

No problem, Ken. Only '32 pumps had the tall necks on them and they were "18-" part numbers. '33-'34 pumps look similar to '35-'36 pumps except that most of them did not have the threaded holes for temperature senders. They had threaded holes for grease fittings, but on opposite sides so there were definite right and left pumps so that the grease fitting would have been accessible on the "out" side of each pump when mounted. The green and bare water pumps in the pics are examples of these. They are part #s 40-8505 and 40-8506, with different suffixes depending on revisions.

I do have a '34 pump with a "40-" part number that has the threaded hole for a temperature gauge, but I think it's rare as I've never seen another one. It is the red pump in the pictures.

OK, after checking in the 1936 Ford parts book, my pump is for 1935/36. I thought I had done that before, but I must have read it wrong??

OH Well.

I have some original 40-XXXX part number wp's for right hand side. Don't think I have any for left hand side. These are rebuildable cores. Send me a pm if you have any interest.

If those have been repainted the numbers could be under the paint. I have seen a few pumps on cars that the numbers were barely visible.
