front e-brake cable
Haven't been able to figure the correct routing of front cable,between the area of master cyl.,and the bracket welded to the torque tube.The cable seems to be too long.should it go thru frame x member,or attach to something with clips?Description would be helpful,Thx.,Al

year of car could be helpful. it goes thru the x in the frame and is attached to the frame near the brake master cylinder with a bracket

The clamp looks like this. This is from a 40 FORD but I am quite sure it's the same for the Merc. Part #2279 You could make one pretty easily out of sheet metal. I tried to take a photo of it under the car but it's really hard to see with the car on the ground. That pointed inside edge on the sketch should be a radius that matches the outside radius on the bottom of the clamp.
