When in the Navy we had a jacking gear that rotated the propeller shaft so the screws didn't bent the shaft. Good idea, keep them shafts turning.

Anyone have a picture of that giant vertical lathe referenced above?The company had dedicated rail cars to ship these large powerplant components.A vertical lathe that tall would be quite impressive.
