Driving a Tudor with Mitchell O/D.
Exhausting.

No doubt there are some hard-cases in my age demographic who don't mind doing it, but I will plan future long trips on a 300-mile-per-day schedule.......
The longest distance in a day for me is about 700 miles, all while towing a camper trailer which weighed at least as much as the car. 495 in 2 days is a doddle. I don't regard a trip as a REAL trip in the A unless the odometer clicks over more than 1,000 miles. It was the same before I got an O/D and I travelled at about 42 mph.
Even at 300 miles a day, you've covered more than 2,000 miles in a week. If you're the kind of guy who likes to stop regularly along the way, I guess 300 is reasonable.

Synchro, you are clearly made of sterner stuff than I.
Although what you referred to as "495 miles in 2 days" was actually 495 miles per day, 2 days in a row.

I have made several trips that were between 2000-3000 miles total but those were to national meets with a nice week's break in the middle.

We each do what works best for us

Yup but I'd find driving even 50 miles a drain over there. You drive on the wrong side of the road!!
