Default We'll try again with pictures

Anyone use the "Vintique" windshield wiper arms kit?? IF so how the hell do they fit on the post. The only way I can see is the hook in the arm goes through the hole in the windshield post BUT then how the heck does the windshield post fit into the cover for the the arm and post?

put the wire in the hole then slide the cover Large end overthe post ,the small end compresses the spring ,the bit inside the cover fits in the groove in the post ,

Thanks FlatheadTed but we (my brother really) and I figured it out. It's quite neat in concept BUT not SO much in quality. I will have to do a little more tweaking to get it close to perfect BUT I have to cut the arms shorter anyway SO not that much moe w work! If anyone is interested I can share with pictures on how it all fits together!!!

Okay, JimTN I will try my best to explain and get my pictures sync'd to my explanation.....ALSO I am loading photos via my Spy Phone so they get turned for some reason!! First the little 1/2 horse shoe "C" clips (pic 1) need to be flipped upwards on the cover part where the arm goes through, that slide down over the notch in the post (pics 2 & 3) and acts sort of like a lock for the cover to stay put. Second you will have to trim the spring as there is NO way all of the spring they give you will compress enough for the cover to cover it all!!! (Pic 4). I will also say the finish quality of the whole assembly is poor, the hook end that goes through the post is flattened and mushroomed so you have to file that so it will fit through the hole in the post, second......on the first one, the "C" clip isn't cut deep enough SO going to have to open that up slightly with a dremel tool or burr!!! Third the "length"'of the hook through the post is too long and will have to be trimmed slightly to fit inside the cover!!! Hopefully I've answered your questions!!! Let me know

I keep my wiper blade in the glove box and put a rubber vacuum cap over the end so it wont scratch. I've had the same experience Newc has. Keeping the blade off till needed means it'll be there when it is.
