I use a small scale that is manufactured specifically for measuring trailer tongue weight. It goes to 2,000 pounds.
https://www.sherline.com/product/she...-weight-scale/ Works very well. I have also used it with a floor jack to weigh the front and rear axles of a Model A. I was curious how the weight was distributed between front/rear. Hope that helps. .
