Default Rear spring replacement

I am about to put a new rear spring in and I have always disconnected everything because I was removing the complete rearend. This time I just want to change the spring so if I remove the wheels and disconnect the shock links will the rearend drop down enough with the brake rods still attached to sneak out the spring? I know if I try this I will have to unbolt the anti-rattlers as well. Just wondering. The brake clevises are a bit of a pain in the butt. Thanks for your opinions, Marc

no the brake rods will have to be undone at the axle end. and the antirattlers unbolted as well.

You still need a spring spreader to remove the shackles.

The rear spring on a Model A can be lethal. Approach it cautiously.
