The pieces in pics 3 and 5 are the parts that hold the insulation on the inside of the firewall.

Re: HELP! Lots of old parts, dont know what they are!
First pic is of "door lock strikers", the doors latch on them when closed. Yours look like they are for 5 window coupe, Sport Coupe, both Tudor and Fordor sedans, Victoria and some commercial trucks also.

Re: HELP! Lots of old parts, dont know what they are!
The second pic looks to be a door hinge, but I'm unsure as to the application. The side with three holes attaches to the pillar of the body but I've never seen one with four holes for the door, maybe Panel Delivery rear door?; 4th- Unidentified; 6th- rear view mirror, not '32; 7th- Unidentified.

Re: HELP! Lots of old parts, dont know what they are!
As others have said, they are cup washers that help hold the firewall insulation in place. Two of these are used on early Ford accelerator linkage that fastens to the outside of firewall. Those cups would be on the inside of firewall. They are not rare, or expensive items in my opinion. You can see them attached to the linkage shown in these pictures....

Re: HELP! Lots of old parts, dont know what they are!
Jessica, if your goal is to sell all of these parts, it's going to be a full time job for you to find out what they are and assign a value to them. It would be better and easier for you to offer up boxes of old ford parts and sell them at a reasonable price. Let the purchaser sort through it all, keep what he/she wants and distribute the rest to those that need/want them.

Re: HELP! Lots of old parts, dont know what they are!
Hey Jessica,
Try posting some pictures of the larger parts, like an engine or a transmission, or body parts. This will make ID easier. it will also make it easier to sell because people interested in the bigger parts would often be able to ID the smaller. If your goal is to sell it all individually, it is most logical to start with the larger, and usually more valuable parts. There is plenty of help here. Good luck, Tony

Picture 7....the metal "fish" looking things are pieces cut from a hood side where the hood hook latch is riveted on to the side panel.

Yes, keep the pictures coming. You can put up to 15 thumbnail pics on each post if they are sized correctly. We don't mind looking and trying to determine what these parts are. Collectively, we can probably ID most anything that's for an early ford v8, or otherwise.

Re: HELP! Lots of old parts, dont know what they are!
How did you come about these parts? Through an inheritance? Left at a property you bought? Just curious. Perhaps you may just want to keep them and get into the early V8 hobby
Also, post your location so folks have an understanding of where you are located. |

Re: HELP! Lots of old parts, dont know what they are!
Hi Everyone, I'm not gonna be a lotta help ID'ing parts.
But my suggestion for jessicajhrs, is to keep it going in this one thread, making it easier for your helpers to stay on the question.

Top, '32 5 window package tray; center is drip pan for same; last is glass channel, looks to be for '32 Panel Delivery because tab on bottom for regulator arm is not centered, '32 pickup also?

Re: HELP! Lots of old parts, dont know what they are!
Well, you arrived at one of the most educated early Ford enthusiast websites. Identifying your pictures is something we all like to be challenged with. I also suggest searching the "swap meet" section under early v8. Do a search for a particular part you have to sell and see what the price was along with comparing quality to what you have. Once you find a price you feel comfortable with list it under the same section. Some parts, you may be stuck with longer than others. If so those are the ones you might have better luck on eBay ( which I avoid) it will sell if listed correctly. Be prepared to pay a percentage on there.
Pictures pictures and more pictures, that is the closest we can get to holding the part, if you see a defect be honest and mention it. If not word will spread fast and you could be branded. Your gonna like this site and perhaps decide to build a car with all the help you get. Good Luck!

This is obviously a toe-board. For what year make and model? I can say it's NOT a 35 or 36 Ford passenger car. I know squat, but would think T era, but again, more photos will trigger someone's memory.

Re: HELP! Lots of old parts, dont know what they are!
That's definitely a one piece floorboard/toe board for a passenger car or truck, but I am not familar enough with that one to tell you a year, make or model. Although I am sure someone here on this forum can tell you exactly what its for.
