Transmisson Bearing Question
I thought I would ask for an opinion on replacing the spacer in the cluster gear with a bearing . I have a transmisson going together and want to do it right. Seems I have misplaced my spacer but have extra bearings.

The spacer can be made from tubing. I have a spare that I could measure for you if you like. The three needle bearings (2 in the Cluster and one in the reverse idler shaft) are always a replace item. Larry

Short cuts usual do not work. It is hard enough to get things right. I would do it with the space. |
