Is the rest of your wood ok, or do you plan to make new wood using your old wood as patterns? My 31 delivery has almost no wood intact, and I'd like to make my own, but need original pieces to use as patterns.

I might go ahead and make my own.it appears that all wood is good except the rear door and it is there but one of the vertical pieces is broken. If a guy was to make his own what kind of wood would he use? Oak maybe?

Also, you might want to make some patterns of the pieces you have so others could use them to duplicate the pieces they might be missing.
Thanks for the info. I will make some patterns.

Well the wood is finished.made it out of ash looks very good I can say that because my brother in law made them.As far as we could tell they are exactly like originals we had two sets of originals to work with but the very bottom of both were somewhat rotten.they are very involved it took 25 hours to duplicate and $100 worth of wood. For some reason i cant download pics maybe later.

Yes the pictures do help a lot. If you have some 31 Delivery body wood patterns made, what would it take to buy or borrow them? Send me a PM if you will. Thanks!

did you find the hole for the rubber bumper in the lower right had cornor of the door....it is in the bottom hoz. board? The proof in the pudding will be when you bolt it up and then see how it fits....done this on two deliverys that I have 30 & 31. There is also a rubber bumper up on the side also...good luck. If we can help just knock on the door..

Can you post some pictures of the entire door with wood installed and any hardware like hinges? Are reproduction hinges available, or do you have to make your own? What about the latch mechanism?
