Default My new 31 Pickup

I purchased the 31 from my 84 year old grandfather. He restored the truck earlier this year and has since determined he does not have enough room for all his cars. It is all original and has always been in Eastern Washington. I have watched him restore cars for the last 42 years and has done some amazing work. More importantly I now have something he built, which means more to me than anything else. I am excited to be a part of the forum and look forward to sharing the pictures and story.

I just purchased the 31 from my 84 year old grandfather. He finished the restoration earlier this year and has since determined he does not have the room for it. He also has a 31 Vicky, 34 pickup, 58 MGA roadster, etc. I have always been into musclecars since I was born in 1970 these cars were long before my time. I have come to appreciate all cars and more importantly have something of his he created. I look forward to participating in this forum. Thanks

Very nice pickup, as I am partial to them. Am attaching a picture of my center plate in the bed. I appears that your's was installed setting over the hole in the wood. I believe the wood should have set on the edges of the plate and the bed metal strips installed over the top of it. Afordman31

Very nice & welcome !!!
31Afordman is right that plate fit's under the wood to give you a flat floor. You will have to lift the bed up a few inches to fit it on underneath . Dont worry only a few bolts !

Nice looking truck, your Grandfather did a great job. You'll have this to enjoy with your family for many years to come, hopefully to pass along to the next generation too, many a Model "A" becomes one of the family.

Let's see under the hood........
