Default Bonneville

Speed Week is up and running. Check http://www.scta-bni.org/ for results. Lickety Split, a '31 full-fendered coupe ran 116 yesterday, banger powered!

The hot rodders likely care, the true Model A people ( me ) could care less. It is not a Model A anymore. Wayne

My old boss, George, ran a 429 with an exit speed of 440. Not to bad. Miss not being there this year.

The same A-bone that Tonya Harding drove to a much slower record about seven years ago. She's long-since been replaced as driver. DD

Had a drive in Petes car in 2013 with my old hayseed engine , Its like calling into Heaven but not stopping off, ? Now theres salt in my blood , Just need to stay young enough for 2017, Tonya record still stands at 97.1 blown flat head 4 . In Lickety split .But we are working on that.

The valve covers look like 2-port, if so, I'm doubly impressed with his time!

Yup, that's is what I was saying.
I thought that none of the Eubanks-Cook repops were finished to run ? Do you know total of those heads that were finished ?

Early this morning Greg Martinez did his return run and backed up his new World Record
in the V4F/BGL (Blown Gas Lakester) class at 164+. This with a Model B flathead engine! Greg improved his previous world record of 157+.

Tamara is Pete's daughter, a really nice person. I am not running this year, maybe next? There were 2 of the Eubanks-Cook heads finished. Steve Serr of Miller fame now has the patterns and is doing a lot of work on them, they should be really nice when done!!! Congrats to Greg! That is a lot of speed, and it's a flathead!
