Default Kelsey Hayes Drum id for midget race car

I am working on a 1930's rail midget project with missing brakes. The rear drum brakes have "8181 KH" or "B181 KH" stamped on them and are 9" id. The backing plates must have been lost before I purchased the project as the car is set up for at least one rear brake.

The powertrain is all Ford (v8-60) and cut-down model A rear end with a Halibrand Culver City Quickchange - so I presume the drums are early Ford.

Can anyone identify the drum application as I need to source a backing plate and mechanical brake components?

Thanks,

Daniel

From my experience with my dirt modified (which has an analogous power train, only full size Ford with Culver City parts), I would expect the drums to be specialized racing items. Just an educated guess on my part.

Willys jeep , also ford jeeps . I used a set on a old T bucket project .
I have a set of front backing plates and complete (rusty ) front axle including brakes . I may have a complete rear setup but it's in use .

After looking at the pictures you sent, you may be right. I posted pictures below. I tried prying off the hub (red) with no luck. I was afraid of breaking it off. Any other thoughts? Thanks again - Daniel
