Default Ford's Texas Assembly Plants...

Using Google Maps, can someone in Texas in and or around Dallas and Houston, please point out Ford's Assembly Plants that are, or were, in each of those cities?

Address if possible.

Thanks.

The Model T plant in Dallas is now nice loft apartments. Adam Hats. Have had friends live there. Model T assembly from 1914 - 1925. After 1925, this location became a secondary location, warehouse and Ford show room until 1955

The newer assembly plant that assembled Model A Fords in dallas was at 5200 E. Grand Avenue. The last vehicle rolled off the assembly line there on February 27, 1970. It was a Ford F-100 pickup.

This location is now a warehouse and a recycling plant.

The plant has grown now. The corner of the building in the above photo is about where the words "Texas Recycling" in this aerial photo below.

In the 1950s, the ford plant stuck these stickers on the Ford cars that came out of this facility.

Hi Steve. I took a screen capture of the map by hitting "CTRL + ALT + PRT SC" while on that window and then opened PowerPoint and hit "paste." You can then crop the image to get rid of the browser window header and other junk and then save the image as a .jpg.

Hope that makes sense. You can probably also past the screen capture in Word and do the same thing.

Yes, Thanks...I figured it out.

Now the next question...As one sees the plant from the air on Google Maps...Is there a way to angle the photo from the air view to get a better shot rather than just a roof top photo?

Once you are on the aerial photo view, click on the "3D" button in the bottom right corner. That gives you a 3D view of larger populated cities. Rural areas don't have this feature work as well.

I think it best works in the Chrome browser.

"Use hardware acceleration when available" had been disabled in Settings. <click><RELAUNCH>

1) go up to the top right corner of your Chrome browser, click on the three dots and select settings.
2) Scroll to the bottom of settings and select advanced.
3) Scroll to the bottom again under system and turn on "use hardware acceleration when available"
