Employee Badges
Has anyone out there in FordBarn Land seen employee badges for the Long Beach plant? Or do you know if they did/did not even issue them for LB?
Thanks! |

Re: Employee Badges
All Ford plants had employee badges. Some are rarer than others and that's why you don't see them that much.
I was talking with a friend of mine who I frequently trade Ford memorabilia with and he related a story to me of finding Employee Badges at yard sales in his hometown of Dearborn Heights for 50 cents to $1 all the time. I'll buy all of them I can find at that price... LOL |

Re: Employee Badges
I have several early Ford Plant Badges but not a Long Beach. However, I have seen one. It's in a friends collection. My favorite is the one I have from the Seattle Ford Plant......Much tougher to find then Long Beach.

It's crazy what some of the Employee Badges go for! I've been wanting to add a couple of the badges used in the teens with the brass rad. Model T on them. Those go for insane money- at least the ones I've seen sell. Been looking for Jacksonville badge as I have 2 Model A's that were built there, but have yet to see one surface. |

Re: Employee Badges
I would be interested to know whether our Aussie mates can verify the 'Australia' Ford badge. It looks a bit sus. to me, historically speaking. Would they depict the first T for the Geelong plant of 1925 build date. Plant badges begin from the late T era.
I want a 'Windsor' [Canada] plant badge which do exist! |

Re: Employee Badges
Model A era employee badges were two different styles, both of which are the Model T radiator shell 1917-1925 style. One is pictured below. The other style didn't have the removable plastic/paper insert.

Re: Employee Badges
I think this may be of interest; found at a garage sale! Henry Ford II's war time badge from the Rouge plant. Photos are from Ford Life, Nov.-Dec. 1971.
