Default 1941 Ford Dash

I have a 1941 Ford dash and the bezel/trim piece that goes around the gauges and across the dash is one piece cast metal.
All of the 41's that I have seen appear to be a 2 piece composite.
Is this another early vs late production 41 thing or trim level dictated?
This dash does not have a clock either.
Thanks for the help as always.
Torchie.

I believe this has to do with Super Deluxe vs. Deluxe vs. Special. My Deluxe has the cast metal piece and no clock. I do know that the cast piece is considerably more long lived that the plastic versions.

Exactly my point guys. This one is a deluxe. Maybe it has to do with weather or not you ordered the clock.

My super deluxe has 2 piece and a clock. Not sure if one piece metal is a stock ford part or older aftermarket

Might check the archives, I recall reading something something about metal.
I believe there were two clocks in 41.

Interesting....
I received some info that said the 41 Special and the 41 Deluxe had pot metal that was painted and no clocks.
In searching the archives I came across this old ad for one for sale. Pot Metal plus a clock.......So is this from a Super Deluxe ?????
This may just be one of those Ford production mysteries that there is no answer for. Plus the fact that any and all of these could have been changed over the years. Who knows.
I personally just love learning about this stuff.
Thanks for all the replies.
