Default shock oil

I have a 1934 Ford shocks and need to add oil. Do I fill it to the plug? If not, how do you know when there is enough. I want to get it right.

Yes, to the plug , don't try to overfill. There is different kind of oils in those. From smell you can tell what kind of oil there is. Don't mix oils.....
