Picked up this cap the other day with the part # and what appears to be the
manufacturer's logo. Can one of you 34 gurus tell me if this in fact an
original part and who the manufacturer was ?

The part number is correct but as to the manufacturer, I can't say. Many after market manufacturers of this item....

I think that STANT was the only manufacturer who made them for Ford. My gut feeling is the one you have is a reproduction. Hard to tell from the photo and with the missing parts on yours....
