Fuel Filer Near Tank
I am looking to install a fuel filter back by the gas tank on my stock 40 Woody. I realize it must be free flowing because the suction side of the pump might not be up to the task. Has anyone done this? What do you recommend. I didn't want to put it by the engine after the pump.

Philip, you must be getting forgetful. You posted this same question yesterday at 4pm and got several answers. To get more answers, go post on the older thread again, which will bring it up to the top of the page. Creating a new post like this just makes people want to ignore anything you post.

Re: Fuel Filer Near Tank
We usually install the filter in the fuel line by putting it in the frame rail where it is flat, after the frame arch over the rear axle. This allows the element, or the whole filter, to be changed with easy access. Use hose "barb" fittings on each end of the connecting hoses and clamp with the "worm gear" type clamps. Most filters have a barb on each end, so a couple for the line ends is needed. We prefer the metal type filters, rather than plastic. Observe the flow arrows on the filter.
