Hi truck idles perfect wont accelerate at all any ideas? 1951 f3 thanks

When idling, if you give it gas do you see any gas shooting out inside the carb?

I am betting you need to rebuild your accelerator pump but, while you have it apart rebuild the entire carb. Or send carb to one of the folks on Fordbarn who rebuild carbs. That way it will be perfect. Some over the counter rebuild kits have incorrect power valves so be careful.

thanks i figured it would e the carb but i think its sometging else , i put a cheapo (china )onit just for the heck of it and it did the same thing

i may move it not sure truck is mint i rather have an enthusiast get it im just frustrated ugh im a mopar guy this has given me fits!

Sounds like you really might want to put an add in the For Sale add section. section.

Where are you taking the vacuum from to the distributor?

Have you checked the linkage to make sure it's working properly? Are the butterfly's the same size or smaller than the holes in the manifold?

Make sure the exhaust is open. I've seen plugged mufflers/exhausts cause engines to act that way.
