Default 8BA Left header install?

Hi all, thought I was doing a good thing leaving Red’s headers off on this engine install as I remembered it being a clearance PIA on last install. Finding out seems just as bad trying to get the drivers side on after engine installed. Right side (passenger side) went in easy. Left side steering box interference trying to drop in from top or up from underneath. I thought I could get it in from underneath. Help! Any suggestions appreciated.

Can you loosen the front motor mounts and jack/move the engine around so you can get it is place, then move it back?

B&S, after loosening engine mounts & lifting & moving right as much as engine bolts allow should I come up from bottom or will it go in from top?
Thx

NO idea - as every car is different and it depends on how the headers were made. I've seen plenty that did NOT fit without adjustments from the 'flame wrench' . . . those I try to avoid!

Hey B&S, removed both engine mount bolts, raised left side of engine 1/2-3/4” & header slid in no prob from top! Used engine hoist & took 15 minutes!
