I have it on my 8N's and they sound tinny.

Not positive but I think the head pipes are different diameters.

When I first had my A it needed a muffler and dad held the purse. So he had me remove the assembly and had it modified. I cut off the muffler and tail pipe and dad found an truck muffler the right size inlet and outlet and length wize. The muffler was straight through and a little bit louder, it was cool for a teenager!

The 9N/2N/8N pipe is a lot smaller than a model A, even though they look similar in photos. I don't believe you'll get the flange to mate with the Model A exhaust manifold.

There are many who are taking old mufflers off to install the Aries unit. Why not place an ad in your local Model A Club Chapter/Region for a used muffler. I'll bet you can find one.

Any muffler shop can make the front pipe before the muffler,l had a few made years ago. I put a 3 bolt header flange on the end. Add a flange to the muffler or a cut out and there you have it. You can get one made for a B ex. Also.
