272 Spark plugs
OK, so Autolite 46 is what I need- are those easily available at current auto parts stores ( advance; autozone, etc ) ? and if not, I have heard that NGK is a good plug but I can't find the specific NGK crossref from the 46. Anyone know the NGK number?

Re: 272 Spark plugs
The NGK WR5 is an approximate. It has a slight V-cut in the tip of the electrode.

Re: 272 Spark plugs
Unless you would rather have MOTORCRAFT....
Since they broke apart from one another, MOTORCRAFT remained Quality, while Autolite became the "bottom of the barrel".... I have MOTORCRAFT, if you would like..... |

Re: 272 Spark plugs
AUTOLITE-HONEYWELL produces the bulk of MOTORCRAFT SPARK PLUGS (USA).
They are manufactured to FORD SPECS and I doubt FORD will allow the exact same product to be sold under another trade name. FORD MOTOR is not the FOMOCO that used to be. It is a world wide auto manufacturer and has many suppliers, many of them overseas. What you buy now marked FORD and/or MOTORCRAFT is a crap-shoot. Most everything produced today is either ASIAN or EUROPEAN design. FORD has a huge manufacturing plant/foundry/assembly in CHINA now after closing the facilities in AUSTRALIA. Hey, no IRS, OSHA, wage - health care - comp - retirement or unions. I remember ... ... reading a post a few weeks ago where the poster said the plugs he bought were CHI-COM. Can't remember ... ... if they were AUTOLITE or CHAMPION. READ HERE - https://findanyanswer.com/are-motorc...olite-the-same CORRECTION - AUTOLITE is now owned by TRICO GROUP - https://www.aftermarketnews.com/tric...-and-autolite/ No 55blacktie, CHI-COM is not a racist term, it is reality.
