Default Water pump resurfacer tool

Has any one used this or a similar tool, trying to figure out how you use it/assemble it? I'm assuming I need to cut some sand paper disks ?
instructions are very vague

The best choice is to send the pumps to Skip Haney. They will come back as good as new. 941-505-9085 or 941-639-0920. [email protected]

I am far from an expert, but that tool may be for early head-in type or V860 pumps. I believe they have a different seal set up than later pump in block type of pumps.

Those arbors looks really long for any type of flathead type pumps though. Could it be for a Model A/B style pump that has a long shaft running through the body?

Number 3 on the rebuild papers also indicate to resurface, I'm posting this to try and help others as well as me, don't get me wrong it's great to send every part you need rebuilt to someone else, but sometimes it's not financially visible,
for me to send water pumps to get a rebuild
It would be around $400 that does not make sense to me.

Do you in fact have the cutter (PF207) and (PF209)?

260 usd including shipping to Canada = 325 cad
Skips pump rebuilds are a work of art. Better impeller nice and tight on the seal. I have a set of new aftermarket to compare to Skips and there is no comparison. I’m not sure if any of the aftermarket suppliers have the better impeller separate or water pumps with them.
I have a pump kit but have been told that it can be fairly difficult to get the pulley off with out it breaking.

As I remember, you drill the impellor off, and then press the bearing out from the back. Then it is easy to set up to press off the pulley. I'm talking about a Ford bearing type (truck) pump as an example.
This reamer is just to give you a flat clean surface for the seal to run against, similar to one used to repair the seat in a water tap.

Love the old tools. It is nice to see the kit complete. When you get it to work show us some pictures or video we just might learn something.

As pointed out in post #6, if there isn't any cutter with the kit, it is worthless.
