1939-1941 Ford front and rear brake baking plates
I need help identifying the 1939-1940 Ford brake baking plates. I'm in search of some and want to know what I'm looking for. Also would like to know what the front hubs and spindles should look like. Pictures would be awesome.
Thanks Jeremy |

Jeremy,
Any reason you are not going to the '42-'48 backing plates? Most people consider the later backing plates easier to adjust. You should put your general location in your profile, you can never tell when it will pay off. Charlie Stephens |

'37-'41 spindles look like this. Drag link eye was tapered from the top down in '41.

I always preferred the early hydraulic brakes because of the greater "adjustability" provided by the moveable bottom anchors. Granted, they were more difficult to get adjusted properly, but once you had them right, I think they worked better.
