Default Not Model A, but Ford

I just read on the Yahoo Home page, that Ford has produced its last Crown Victoria model, made in Canada, sold to Saudi Arabian buyer. This means that Ford Motor Company is making no V8 for the first time since 1932.
The Crown Victoria was still selling well for Cabs and Police cars, but the chassis was outdated and retooling would cost at least $100 million bucks, so they stopped production.

The 5.4l-V8, 6.8l-V10, and V8 diesel all produced by Ford are also alive and well.

There was some talk a while back of the Aussie falcon being exported to the US to replace the Crown Vic. I haven't heard any more about it for a while so it may have just been a media furphy.

As TudorTom said; new rear drive V8 pass cars and utes are made and sold by Ford in Aus.
Twin cam 250 cube turbo 6s are avail as well.
They come with 6 & 7 speed auto or manual gearboxes.
Cars fitted with high perf Mustang engines can be specially ordered from FPV [Ford Performance Vehicles].

Same with the Holden [Aus GM vehicles]. We are told some US police depts are using the full size rear drive alloy V8s as Chev Impalas.

Petrol here is $6 to $7 a gall at the moment.
