Default 1936 Greyhound hood ornament

Hello,
I have what is believed to be an original Ford or made for Ford greyhound and Bull Nose from the original 36' owned by my family.
How do I authenticate this part?

The greyhound has the set screw in front and a smaller one in rear of base.
This coincides with the Bull nose attachment marks on the one that was on car before restoration.

Please ask on the early V8 forum. This section isn't for car questions, it's for questions about the site.
