Default 6 volt battery

HI guys, just a little news on my OD. The od. only worked part time I replaced all the electric parts and still part time I left the parking lights on 3 weeks ago and ruined the bat. Installed a new 6 volt and fore the last 3 weeks the od. has been working all the time. I'm sure it was a combination of all that was done?. but the bat did the trick. Jack.
