On a 1953 ford car what holds the fender skirts on? thanks for any info. Jack

There are/were as many different ways to mount them as there were manufacturers of them, from factory stock to several from aftermarket providers.
All depends on which ones you have or get.

as 51 said it depends on whether factory or after market(foxcraft etc)the factory style use one style mounting foxcraft use another they both use a lever to pull them tight but the brackets are vastly different a picture if you have a pair would be helpful in telling you more 52-54 are the same

Thanks for the reply. The car is a friend of mine. and he bought a pair of fender skirts there is no where on the car or skirt to fasten them on? Jack.
