Default AA clutch issue

I had a T5 put in. AA clutch housing. When I push in the clutch it will not come all the way back. I have to use foot to do so.. It has the required 3/4 to 1 inch free play just will not come back on its own. It seems to release and drove it in and out of garage ok a couple times. It does not have a clutch pedal return spring on it. From what I have read AA clutch pedals have one. Will this take care of the problem or are their other issues. Winter here so am not able to drive it but wondering if any thoughts on this. Lost on this. Thanks Dave
