Default Front mount emergency brake lever slop

The shaft that goes through the trans top for my e brake is fairly worn.

In my searches of parts supplier catalogs I have been unable to locate any bushings or replacement parts for this area. Any suggestions? Experiences? Thanks.

There are no replacement shafts being offered or reproduced. Rich Bell (Barnstuf) had a couple for sale at one point - I bought one of these. He may still have the other? Check out the classified for somewhere around December 2012 where he advertised these. I think he references the part number there as well (although you can look this up in the Service Parts booklet too.)

As to the bushings, if you're forced into re-machining the wear surface of your present shaft/arm, you may be better to go "aftermarket" and investigate IDs/ODs in the Cleavite catalog - and find something that can be made to fit.

I'm surprised that someone hasn't reproduced this - upwards of 1 of 4 Model As still in the field have the front mounted E-brake, either pistol grip or thumbutton.

I find it hard to believe that the shaft could be worn that much,...but I
guess it's possible.
Shaft bushings are available from most suppliers. Bratton's part # 3880
for 2 bushings....$1.10....
