Default Play in Steering Gear

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aISGxwIRfCc

Noticed this play while replacing my wheels. I am going to check the frame to steering box bolts now, but are there any other adjustments / attachments I should be looking at?

The video is so short it's hard to tell but it looks like end play.

Ok, here is a longer clip. Pretty sure the mounting bolts aren't snugged down as much as they should.

Two words... finger tight. I've got everything snugged back up with new cotter keys. Easy fix, but still frustrating.

I had much less movement than the video and the bolts were tight. I removed the bolts and they had considerable wear. Gas tank column support allowed enough flex to put a pretty good torque on the long arm from the steering wheel to the steering box. I also replaced the column support with the later model mount to the dash and everything is now solid as a rock.

Wowza - wondered why Henry used cotters and castles there... Now we know! Standard lock washer would have gone missing ages ago.

End play on the sector shaft. Too loose bolts , 3/8 bolts instead of 7/16 ? For the steering to work properly, everything must be tight. go around to the engine side of the box and loosen the lock nut, gently snug the bolt up. (GENTLY!) and lock it up.
