Default Tack strip molding..

Help or suggestion when I shape the molding (#8 I think it's refereed to as) on a Tudor Body ,really a Deluxe Delivery ,,but should be the same .Across the top,,behind the visor..I have the rain gutters on already ,,,WHAT a job that was...But they came out good I'm thinkin'...

I just finished one. The aluminum is soft as you get it, so shape the piece as close to the contour of the roof as possible. Leave the moulding about 2" longer than you need it. Make the shape across the top first and then shape the ends. Start at the one end and work towards the other end. AS you get close to the end you can shape and cut the end to the right lenght. Put your nails about 4 holes apart along the top and at the ends I used the last 5 holes. Then run seam sealer in the opening and hammer the edges down using a small wood block and a spoon. Hope this helps.

Mine ,the stick that came with the truck,,is Steel …..
I’m going to try and clamp is into a jig to form the tight radius …
If it doesn’t work I’ll buy the aluminum one …It sounds easier to work with ….
