T Conversion Tractors
Are there any other T conversion tractor owners out there? Working on a '25 Shaw conversion kit now (before and during pictures):

Re: T Conversion Tractors
I tried to find a better picture, but this was all I could find. here is my fathers 22 t with a Staude conversion made in St Paul MN with my 1918 Fordson on a trailer headed for the Butterfield MN threshing show in 2010. i'll have to see if I can fine a better picture of it.

Re: T Conversion Tractors
I like that Fordson conversion tractor.
Does it have good enough individual wheel brakes or did that have to get modified also? (assume the steering is done by braking one side or the other to turn) |

Re: T Conversion Tractors
I think you will find the steering brake at the end of the yellow arrow.
The other picture shows the drum & band separated. w.

Re: T Conversion Tractors
I knew youd come to the rescue Jack! So did the steering wheel work some bands?? The one I posted didn't have any steering linkage on the front, just an axle to support the front set of bogeys.
I also grabbed these pics in Escanaba for you for the archives! ws

Re: T Conversion Tractors
I have an old Holt crawler (pre CAT) that had a Model A engine and transmission attached (or so I believe), including the Ford blue hood with radiator! I fired it up once just fun, and it was just that, damn funny! The Holt controls still declutched the tracks, and the steering wheel that as added ran to a steering box that actually raised and lowered the homemade wooden blade! It stills sits out in the yard, if anyone is interested, I could post some photos.

Re: T Conversion Tractors
In 1968, when I was in high school, one of the kids in my class regularly used a converted model T tractor to plow with. I never had the chance to visit their ranch to see it, though.
