Need photo of 1930 Station Wagon Floor
Hi:
I am currently restoring a 1930 Model A Station Wagon (150B). Does anyone out there have a photo of the floor from front seats to inside of the Cowl. Also at photos of top section of the cowl (in top of windshield)? Thanks for your help.

Except for trim paint the 30 and 31 should be about the same. This is a link I saved. What I write below is NOT related to the car in the above link. We are working on a 30. Things were really messed up because the wheel wells were done wrong. They were too low at the top of the arch so instead of fixing they dropped the rear of the body down about an inch so every thing was sloped to the rear. They also cut and reshaped the hoops that go over the wheel wells so they have to be reworked too. This is one of the kit bodies. I do not think the kit was bad, I just don't think the people that stated the project, 3 owners back, knew what they were doing.

Re: Need photo of 1930 Station Wagon Floor
Hi Bruce:
What I wanted to know was if the floor boards in the Cowl area were standard Model A Floor Boards or was it part of the floor in the rest of the body. Was there metal (besides the frame) right after the floor boards (in the Cowl area). I am in the process of Restoring a 1930 150B and I started on the matching numbers engine, chassis and title. Frame is finished, now working on the Cowl, so as you can see I have a long way to go. Thanks in advance for any information, Henry's 31 (Al Lugo)

Bruce:
Also how is the header above the windshield attached to the Cowl. Was that part Metal. I noticed some of the vendors sell a fiberglass header. Henry's 31

Re: Need photo of 1930 Station Wagon Floor
The cowl is standard as are the floor boards. I took some photos of the areas but left camera at the shop, maybe tomorrow. What you are calling a header is just the cover, there is a wood header behind it like most A's. The cover is fitted then nailed to the header then trimmed out like any top. There is some fitting to the wood required to fit the cover.

Re: Need photo of 1930 Station Wagon Floor
Yes the original wood header is covered by a metal cover. I had to trim my wood header quite a bit to get it to fit correctly. The cover is nailed to the header (difficult) and then the nails are hidden by a piece of aluminum trim. That's how it goes if I remember correctly. My car is in a garage 5 miles away.

Re: Need photo of 1930 Station Wagon Floor
Here are some I took yesterday. Hope they are of some help. In photo number 3 there are braces that go in the upper corner. I have not installed them yet.

Re: Need photo of 1930 Station Wagon Floor
Hi Redmodelt:
Thank you so much, ALL of your great photos are very helpful. As you know there is no book with instructions for this project and these photos will be of great help to put the puzzle together. Have "A" great week,
