1930 Coupe Rain Gutters
I was looking a 30 Coupe today that was for sale. It was a 20 year old restoration. Body and paint looked great for that age except what I would describe as the top edge of the rain gutter above the door on both sides of the body. It appears as if the top edge had pulled away from the body and was somewhat jagged. It was painted so it didn't look like it just happened. Not sure what it is supposed to look like as I am new to the Model A hobby but was wondering what may have happened. Would there have been caulking in there? I have seen replacement gutters for sale and it looks like a big job replacing them. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you

Re: 1930 Coupe Rain Gutters
The gutters are 2 piece
the tack strip nails to the body wood then the gutter snaps onto it.. Most likely the wood is rotted if it is pulling away and loose.. |
