Default truck flathead question

I've got a 38 (24 stud) engine in my 36 phaeton. It has the two piece oil pan/clutch cover that I understand is a truck specific piece, but the flywheel cover is missing. what years can i crossover? 38-41 only or will one off a 46 pickup work--a buddy's got one in his yard but I don't want to have him pull it to find out it's not what I need.

thanks

I'm only aware of ONE iteration of that '48 and earlier two-piece oil pan, but what do I know? Click on the link below and read MY post #3 for some info and good pictures of the only type of two-piece pan I'm familiar with. I'd bet that '46 piece is what ya need. Click this link...post #3! DD
