Default 226 h ring gear

Is the V-8 flywheel ring gear the same as the 226 H flywheel ring gear?

Per the Green Bible, the six cylinder engines use 20A-6384-A (112 teeth) and tne V8's use B-6384-A (112 teeth). It doesn't specify the inside diameter of the gears.

Unfortunately it's not the same ring gear, even though same number of teeth. The gear on the starter drive is different too. Has one more or one less teeth. The H six ring gear is as rare as hen's teeth, but there is a guy in Wisconsin I think that sells only ring gears. Name is Al Suering, he has a website. He has the rare ones made for him when there is demand. I think it was about 125.00. I had to wait six months, but one day he called and had gotten a new batch. Haven't installed it yet as other projects in the way. He may have some of that batch left.

Isn´t it just to make things worse that it was both 112 and 114 tooth gears on them to...
I´ve seen 9 and 10 teeth on starters used maybe that is cause they had 2 different ring gears??
