Default Rear end drain location

SHEBA is a 47 Tudor with a 9" ford rear installed. where is the drain?
Or do I have to pull the rear cover ~?~ if that is the case is there a gasket involved ?

GETTING READY FOR THE RUN to the FEST !!!

I don't know what you have, but my 9" axle has a drain in the bottom of the housing for the chunk. It also has a solid, non-removable rear cover because the internals are accessed by pulling the chunk out of the housing.

I can't remember back to the 60s but don't think there is one.
If you want to do some PM replace the wheel bearings they are a dry bearing.
I had a bearing go few years ago, and friend had one go the other day.

some have the drain plug in the housing, some in the 3rd member. you must have the housing & pumpkin without. I've been there, had to drill & tap new hole.

Can you remove a bottom edge bolt and let the oil run out the bolt hole?

A quick way to find out what kind rear end you might have. If you can put a socket on the bottom two nuts its a 8'', if you have to use a wrench its a 9''. There are usualy no drain plugs on the housing or punkin, just a fill plug on the left side of the punkin. To drain the grease out of the rear end you have to pull the punkin and replace the gasket, or buy a siphon hose.
