Default 50 upper outer a arm bushing install question

I attempted to install the bushing kit, the bushing and bolt match the originals but the supplied seals are one diameter only. I think if they had one larger end I could squeeze them in place? I do not have a old seal to compare. I really need someone who has installed these parts to chime in; I have already used up the first 50 theories that come to mind after fooling with it for a hour or so. Thanks guys.

Most if not all of the modern replacements are too tight right out of the box. What I've done when replacing Mercury car bushing & bolt assemblies is put the seals in solvent overnight. They grow a good bit. The only problem is that they shrink back up after they dry out. I don't soak them till I'm ready to assemble and assembled them wet. It works for me anyway. Stoddard solvent or naphtha based solvent should both do the trick.
