Default Top dressing

The canvas material top on my 29 business coupe is in fair condition, no leaks, but it is looking a little faded (<---see my avatar). We used to be able to get what was called top dressing from Wards or JC Whitney, but I don't know where to go now, or even what to look for. I remember that stuff being black and thin. I found some clear canvas waterproofing stuff, but the odor is so strong I don't think I could drive my car without passing out from the fumes, assuming the liquid would penetrate through into the passenger compartment.

I'm not looking for vinyl dressing, as my top is canvas.

Any suggestions?

There is a product sold by Mac's called Ragtop. They have a cleaner and a conditioner / waterproofer. They both work great with very little noticeable odor. Wayne

Yes, a marine supply place might have something. Any other ideas or experiences?

I use Ragg Topp canvas convertible top products on my modern convertible. A cleaner for spots then a spray on protector. I don't know if they would rejuvenate a weathered top though

Menards sells a similar product for about a third of what they want on TV.
