Default I think spring is springin'

Sorta, kinda Model A related, on wednesday I got the A out of the big garage, started and driven around to the "Model A garage" (the climate controlled one). Temps in the low 60's and windy as all getout, looked around the yard at the sticks and limbs blown down and started to pick them up, heard a racket overhead as about 20 sandhill cranes flew over headed north. I thought, thats cool then I noticed the crocus were up and blooming and the daffodils are about to bloom. As I was congratulaing my self on lasting out another northern Illinois winter I glanced down in the slough behind the house and there were 2 robbins, well my MAMA didn't raise too many fools, dropped the sticks, locked the house, piled the sheperd in the A, salty roads be darned, and off we went on a 25 mi shakedown run, it was great, by the time we got back we were both grinnin like idiots. Love the first NICE days of spring while goin down the road in a "A" My best to you all..........Clyde, hope I didn't stray to far from the straight and narrow as I did mention A's

Clyde- It's stories like this that remind us why we enjoy being caretakers of these fine automobiles! You're about 2-3 weeks ahead of us, where the seasons are concerned.
It's time to check all fluids, air up the 19's, and get ready to roll!

Spring time is the BEST time of the year for Model A rides....followed closely by fall, summer and winter.

Minnesota does the same thing as Jeff just describribed. I wait for a couple of good rains to clean the car cacer causing salt pollution off the roads.

Feel guilty, here in Central Ca, mid 70's, mild winter, Our Sierra Chapter did the Blossom Trail Tour to view all the fruit & nut orchards in FULL bloom. Bad thing is almost NO rain this winter and LOW snowpack to fill the reservoirs for irrigation
This is a HUGE agricultural area! Bill W.

Ok! Ok! alot of you guys are just lucky. A few of us still have to do our part in life by occupying land on this continent that is presently locked in winter. Try 16" snow on the flat, 28F. One thing about it, we did see bald eagles here last month, and the geese are starting to show up wondering where the open water is. Only have to wait for a foot and half of ice to melt. Great time for Model A maintenance for the first run of the season.
