Neat, looks to be in (relatively) good shape inside, body panels straight, etc. That's gonna be a cool project. Put an up-rated flathead in it. Be easier than a late model engine and maintain the authenticity, sound, feel.

in the south such a pack of springs indicate is has hauled some moonshine! I had a 40 sedan delivery, had springs like that, that was actually a hauler and sold thru a government sale in Asheville NC

I know where there is a similar "route van", 1940 Ford V8 60, Tonner, former REA (Railway Express Agency) truck. It was altered into a Hippy Van, living unit during that era . Note the pop out on the curb side of the box and the wood stove vent in the roof.
