Default Newbie question

About to get my first Model A but need some advice on modifications. I have searched the forum and found plenty of advice for long legged folks but what about us short legged? Jokes can fly buy I need to extend the clutch and accelerator a few inches to drive safely. Any aftermarket modifications or other options?

Just move the seat forward. That usually works. You are about to have an awful lot of fun with that car. You picked the right one.

Congrats on joining the 'Barn'. What model are you looking at? Tudor, Coupe? Each has options for moving the seat a bit, not a lot....

Some additional information....Was looking at the sedan primarily but always had an eye on a pickup. Looking to gain 3 inches on clutch to get a full throw. For the accelerator anyone know if the Fulton accelerator pedal adds any length?

For the brake and clutch pedals you can use the extensions used for Model T's, see link below. For the gas pedal and rest you can use a common stand off which as a threaded hole on one end and a threaded stud on the other, available from McMaster Carr. However, best to move the seat forward if possible.

I would be inclined to glue the pedal extension to the pedal for safety sake. I am not sure how well the Model T extension would fit the Model A pedals and I think the tab on the bottom may have to be sawed off.

Have you sat in a pickup? Are you looking at a 28-29 or a 30-31? Neither has much room, but the earlier models are the closest. You might be able to get closer by simply adding a pillow between you and the seat back. More comfortable too.
