Default Brake conversion

So how many of you have converted your 34 Ford coupe to juice brakes?
When I bought this car it had plate bolted on the bottom of the frame where the master was mounted and it used the original linkage to operate the master which seems to be weak.
I was looking at a new pedal from Thompsons Garage and was wondering if anyone has installed one or has any other suggestions.
Thanks
Pete

The original brake pedal pulls, so you can mount the master cylinder remotely and use a bell-crank arrangement or mount the master cylinder backwards and use a linkage arrangement. I have photos of several different approaches if you are interested.

The Lacy family at Early V8 Garage make an impressive product. It's a bolt in kit with no modification of the original chassis. Lines up your E-Brake with the ebrake cable pull in the center of the torque tube.

Call Dennis at (626) 338-2282 and say "Elrod" sent ya!

http://www.earlyv8garage.net/
1217 N. Azusa Canyon Road,
West Covina, CA 91790-1004

This is the kit how it comes in the box. Comes with mastercylinder bracket, pedal linkage and front hand brake cable assembly. 100% bolt on using factory holes. No mods to pedals. He can build it to accept the 1939 Ford 3-bolt style master cylinder or 60s 2 bolt mustang style dual master cylinder if you want split front and rear brakes. They can also provide master cylinders, and even pre-bent brake lines.

He can also do it for right hand drive.

For those of you with 1932 Fords,

There is also a hand brake cable assembly that clamps around the torque tube.

He also makes a starter solenoid bracket that mounts off the steering gear placing the starter solenoid where the original floor starter button is so that your wiring all stays in the same spot.

This starter solenoid is mounted in the 1935 Ford Heel switch location.
